Le sigh. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly split after struggling to make their relationship last. The couple have recently mutually decided things aren’t working between them. A source said “Justin and Selena were together for a long time. They love each other and will always care about each other, but it just isn’t working between them. This might really be it for the two of them. They’re over going back and forth and all the fighting and reconciling. They’re finally coming to understand that no matter how much they try to make it work it won’t right now.”

Despite a recent pre-Christmas vacation together in Utah, where Selena, 20 and 18-year-old Justin were spotted skiing, things went wrong for the couple when they jetted to Mexico after the festive season. The insider explained “Their time in Mexico was much of the same for them, constant arguments and bickering. So they ended it. Selena is Justin’s first love and he’s still young enough that he desperately tries to make it work. But Selena is mature enough to just know when to end it and be realistic that it isn’t working.”

Kendrick Lamar and Adam Levine to appear on SNL

Adam Levine will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on January 26, when Kendrick Lamar performs for the first time on the sketch show. While The Voice judge will host for the first time ever in the episode, he has previously appeared in a digital short on the comedy sketch show with Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen and has also appeared as the musical guest with his band, Maroon 5.

Adam and Kendrick’s episode will take place once week after Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence makes her SNL debut on January 19th with a performance from The Lumineers.

Adam recently revealed he will miss Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on The Voice when they take a season off to focus on their respective music careers, but admitted he is excited about their replacements Usher and Shakira. Adam said “Christina and Cee Lo are so close to my heart because we went through the show becoming a success together and Usher and Shakira are coming into it as a big institution. So it’s different but it still feels good because they are legitimate artists. I knew Usher before. We’ve worked in the studio a couple of times together. Shakira is a new friend but I love her dearly already. She’s so sweet and adorable and hilarious.”

One Direction’s Harry Styles and the Taylor Swift, who have been dating for around two months, have kicked off 2013 by jetting to the British Virgin Islands for a romantic break. Although they are enjoying some quality time together before they both embark on huge tours later this year, the couple were happy to pose with fans at their resort. One fan posted a picture with the duo on Twitter and wrote “I’ve never been so happy.”

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Harry presented Taylor with a vintage emerald bracelet, which he bought in a store near his home in Cheshire, North West England, over Christmas. A source said “Harry handpicked the present for Taylor while he was back home. He found it in a second-hand shop and she was impressed when he handed it to her. He gave it to her at the plush hotel they stayed in while they were celebrating New Year in New York. Harry is head over heels for Taylor and even admitted he loves her while they were in the Big Apple.”

The smitten couple saw in the new year with a kiss in front of thousands of fans in Times Square after Taylor had performed at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Monday night (watch the performance here).
The two pop stars stunned onlookers on as they shared a very public embrace after Taylor took to the stage to sing her hit songs We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble at the New Year’s Eve event, which was hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Jay-Z has rented a $1 million nursery at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn

The rapper and his wife Beyonce Knowles are often spotted at Barclays Centre watching Jay-Z’s basketball team the Brooklyn Nets, so Jay decided to really make the revamp arena his home away from home by splashing out on a luxurious suite for their 12-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.

A source told Us magazine “Jay rents a luxurious basement suite for $1 million a year. It has an area for Blue filled with toys.” However, the VIP space is not just for kids and can also be converted into an entertainment area for adults. The insider added “It’s all glass with a champagne bar and TV screen. Jay lets friends use his digs when he’s not there.”

Jay-Z shared the bill with Coldplay at the Barclays Center to welcome in the New Year on Monday night and was joined by good friend Chris Martin to sing the traditional Auld Lang Syne at 11:59 pm. The show had opened earlier with Coldplay, who performed songs like The Scientist, Paradise, Viva la Vida, Princess of China and Yellow. The band were joined by Jay for the track Lost, which Jay-Z originally collaborated with them for on their 2008 EP, Prospekt’s March.

After the traditional midnight celebrations, Jay-Z appropriately opened his set with his hit track On to the Next One. The rapper performed 25 songs, including Hovi Baby, I Just Wanna Love U (Give It To Me) and Izzo (H.O.V.A.).

The Transformers star has finally given in and signed up to the social networking site, posting a perplexed-sounding inaugural tweet yesterday asking what all the fuss is about. Megan tweeted wrote “I’m incredibly late to the party but I’m here nonetheless, so what now?”

Fox, who has a four-month-old son Noah with her husband Brian Austin Green, has added a description on her page reading “Lover. Healer. Mother.” Megan’s decision to join the site came hours after “RIP Megan Fox” was trending, but she made no mention of the web death hoax. Fox announced the news on her Facebook page, writing “Against my better judgment, I have finally joined Twitter. Every possible version of my name is already in use so for now my Twitter handle is https://twitter.com/MeganFox516.”She has since changed her name to @MeganFox.

Kanye, who announced on stage last weekend that he and the socialite are expecting their first child together, has booked a recording studio for the end of January and thinks it would be “cool” to make some music they can play to their baby when it is born. A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kanye’s really soppy. He wants Kim to lay down some vocals while she’s carrying his child.”

The source revealed, “He thinks it’ll be cool for his son or daughter to listen to the track when they’re older.” As well as making music together, it has been revealed Kim and Kanye plan to document her pregnancy and their subsequent trials and tribulations as parents in a new reality TV show. E! Entertainment network president Suzanne Kolb said, “Kim and Kanye are an incredibly dynamic couple, and their baby news is just so exciting. Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger. We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottles and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear.”

Jessica Simpson, who confirmed on Christmas Day she is expecting her second child with fiance Eric Johnson, admits she feels “awful” when her work on US reality show Fashion Star limits the amount of time she can spend with her eight-month-old daughter Maxwell. Jessica explained, “Motherhood is the best thing I’ve ever experienced – and the most challenging. On some of the days of Fashion Star, I’m awake before Maxwell is awake, and I’m not home until she’s already back to sleep.That’s only happened about four times, but it makes the day awful. I definitely need to see my baby. I get really sad if I don’t get to see her. And then when Maxwell sees me, she just stares at me and touches my face. I can tell she missed me. That breaks my heart.”

Jessica feels lucky to have Eric on hand when she isn’t around for Maxwell and she finds his commitment to their baby and her a “sexy” trait in him. Jessica continued to People magazine, “It is the sexiest thing in the world to watch how he handles [Maxwell]. We’re both learning together, but it’s fun because we both get to grow in our relationship together.” The 32-year-old blonde beauty has also noticed changes in herself since becoming a mother, the main change is how protective she has become.

Jessica, whose sister is Ashlee Simpson, has even worked out what the easiest escape route would be out of her house with Maxwell if anyone broke in. Jessica explained, “There are little things that you kind of obsess over. I never knew how protective I was until I had my own child. I’m already thinking about intruders coming into the house and what our escape route would be.”
