Like the rest of the world, Lady Gaga is a huge fan Michael Jackson and would love to see his old home restored it to its former glory. The late King of Pop bought the 3,000 acre ranch in 1988 at the height of his fame and modified it with a rail track, petting zoo and a fairground. It later fell into disrepair as he came into financial difficulties.
A source told The Sun newspaper “Lady Gaga is obsessed with Michael. She’s become good friends with his sister La Toya and would love more than anything else to restore Neverland to its original state. His kids are all desperate to hold on to their childhood home so they can decide what they want to do with it properly when they’ve grown up. Gaga would love to help with the financial costs by buying a share.”
Although Neverland was sold in 2008 to investment group Sycamore Valley Ranch Company, Michael’s children, including Prince, 15, Paris, 14, and ‘Blanket’, 10, and his mother Katherine all still hold a share of it.
Gaga, 26, also recently bought 55 items in an auction of Michael Jackson’s costumes. After making the purchases she tweeted “The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide (sic).”
The star has also recently said she was in talks to open for Michael on his This is It 50 show run in London, which was scheduled to start just days after his death. She said “There was some talk about the openers doing duets with Michael on stage. But Michael’s death was devastating for me regardless of whether I was supposed to go on tour with him.”
So much for Bella and Edward spending eternity together. Robert Pattinson has reportedly broken up with his long time girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The 26-year-old British actor, who forgave and reconciled with the 22-year-old actress following her “momentary indiscretion” with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last summer, is said to have ended their four-year relationship over the weekend after a difficult few weeks together.
A source told The Sun newspaper “She flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob’s date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off. He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight. Kristen’s upset, but understands. She shouldn’t have pushed him to reconcile after her infidelity. She’s hoping he’ll come round and time will be a great healer. He was getting so much pressure to ditch her. His friends told him to focus on his career and said she was wrecking his chances.”
The insider also revealed that Kristen is now planning to move to New York and Robert will continue to live in Los Angeles. The friend said “She feels people leave her alone there and she has a bit more peace.”
News of the couple’s split comes just days after they were spotted at a Golden Globes after party together.
The Twilight Saga couple put on a united front at award hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s private celebration held at Soho House in West Hollywood after the prestigious ceremony on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, Kristen avoided the Golden Globes altogether and arrived at the VIP after-party in altogether more casual attire at 1 am. She teamed jeans and a baggy sweatshirt with trainers and a backwards cap, hiding her eyes behind shades as she snuck into the star-studded event.
The Brazilian “Angel” rocked several different lingerie looks during the day, including a bright pink bra and panty set with wings and later, a black garter and panty combo.Between shots, the 31-year-old supermodel chatted with make up and hair crew as she had her lips touched up for the next set of pictures.
Keeping her fans abreast of her day, she tweeted several times from the large mansion commenting, “Working hard today !!”
