Rihanna stays connected to ex-beau Matt Kemp

Rihanna will always be connected to her ex-boyfriend Matt Kemp. The Stay singer, who was recently said to have rekindled her friendship with the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player whom she dated for a year following her split from Chris Brown in 2009, reportedly loves that he got a similar tattoo to her to remember his grandparents and thinks it was a “manly gesture”. The sports star got a tattoo on his chest in memory of his grandparents just months after the 24-year-old popstar got an inking of an Egyptian Goddess Isis on her own chest in memory of her late grandmother Dolly.

A source close to Rihanna told HollywoodLife.com she was extremely touched by his gesture, saying: “Maybe they’re connected and don’t even know it. Matt and her are friends and they will always be friends and she knows how much he loves his family and like her, he loves his grandparents and that’s obvious by what he did. “She thinks that’s manly of him to do something like that, to pay homage to those who he loves.” The source continued, “The tat is dope and she likes it a lot. You know Ri, she’s a fan of body art and she loves a man that’s all tatted up. (sic)”

Meanwhile, Rihanna was previously reported to want to walk the red carpet with her on/off boyfriend Chris at the Grammys. The couple recently rekindled their romance despite Chris still being on probation for beating her at a pre-Grammys party in 2009, and have told friends they plan to make their first public appearance as a couple again at the ceremony on February 10 in Los Angeles. A source previously said, “She wants her man on her arms with her at the Grammys. They both aren’t worried about being out in public together. That’s obvious. She already talked to him about going to the Grammys together and that’s the plan right now.” Rihanna is set to perform at the event and is nominated for three awards including Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Short Form Music Video for We Found Love.

I think Lady Gaga is confused by the term ‘paper training’ when it comes to her dog. The eccentric singer has a pet labradoodle called Fozzi and has been letting his creative juices flow backstage on her Born This Way Ball tour. A source told The Sun newspaper “She’s training up her beloved Fozzi to be a artist. She’s been attaching pens to his legs and propping him on to paper. All of her crew have been treated to a portrait by him.” I think we’re using the word ‘treated’ loosely.

Fozzi has accompanied Gaga around the world on the tour and has often been photographed with her. The artistic pooch met Donatella Versace when they traveled to Italy, and was photographed with Gaga and two Finnish soldiers when they went to Helsinki.

Gaga, 26, is not the only celebrity to pamper her pet. Kelly Osbourne is known to treat her Pomeranians, Story and Sid and Blue, a Doberman, to luxuries fit for humans. After taking Sid to a special spa for pooches, Kelly tweeted “Sid just came back from the doggy day spa he had a blue berry facial, oatmeal bath, many-pedy & blow dry he looks #scrumdiddlyumptious (sic).” Kelly, 28, also likes to dress Sid up, and has previously posted photos of him in light blue leg warmers, and an outfit fashioned to look like a shirt, dinner jacket and red and white spotted bow tie.

These people have too much money.

Kingfisher Calendar girl and controversy queen Poonam Pandey is really excited about her upcoming debut movie Nasha. Poonam who is doing everything she can to ensure that the movie is successful has apparently put on 6 kilos for her role. The model was skeptical about putting on extra pounds to acquire the curves for the role.

The model, whose offer to go nude before Team India if they won the Cricket World Cup had hit the headlines in 2011, have been a bikini model and maintained a size zero. However, for her role in “Nasha”, director Amit Saxena told her to gain weight.

Poonam told in an interview: “I was skeptical before going ahead with it but when I read the script, I thought I would not justify the role unless I don’t gain some weight to fit the bill.”

Produced by Aditya Bhatia, “Nasha” is an adult film and Poonam gave up her disciplined diet routines and gorged on junk food.

The film will release by mid 2013.

Spooky promo launch of ‘Ek Thi Daayan’

‘Ek Thi Daayan’, a supernatural thriller which Emraan Hashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi. The makers of the film launched the first look launch of Ek Thi Daayan in a very spooky way. Kalki Koechlin, Huma Qureshi and Konkona Sen Sharma turned up at the event looking like daayans. The movie’s main lead Emraan Hashmi, too, was in the character.

Emraan Hashmi plays a magician in the film and so as the actor was seen performing magic on the stage with the three beautiful daayans. In fact, just before the press meet, a short magical drama was even preformed, with the star cast in their characters.

Kalki Koechlin had revealed earlier that ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ is about a witch and a magician.

The movie is said to be inspired by a short story penned down by Mukul Sharma (Konkona’s dad), and speaks of a mix of gore, suspense and jump-scares. The mystery is that there are three possible ‘daayans’ and people will have to guess which of the three is the daayan.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film is releasing on April 18.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi is presently shooting for ‘Ghanchakkar’ with Vidya Balan.
