Following We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Begin Again and I Knew You Were Trouble, Taylor Swift has announced today that the fourth single off her latest album Red is…22!

Yay! Everyone excited? Some disappointed? Just me? Like, really disappointed? The upbeat track, produced by pop hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback, is definitely radio-friendly. It’s upbeat. It’s catchy. It’s not even close to her best work.

While I would have opted for State of Grace, All Too Well or Everything Has Changed featuring Ed Sheeran, I am looking forward to the music video treatment for 22. Though I picture something very similar to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (this song screams squirrel pajama sleepovers), Swift definitely succeeds in going big with her videos.

Kanye West’s next album possibly titled Rich Black America

A screengrab of what looks like the track listing from an unknown source has been floating around the internet, leading music fans to believe that Kanye West is set to release his sixth studio album this summer, titled Rich Black America. The screen grab includes titles for seven tracks, including Intro, Faith, Whole Lifetime, Replay, Popular, Perfect Bitch and Need Somebody.

The image also includes information on collaborators for the album, including Florence Welch, Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Pusha T, Big Sean and Skrillex.

West has played a small number of shows recently, including a concert in Abu Dhabi, but has yet to release an official statement on a new album or tour.

Wondering what you’re going to wear to Coachella? Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine has you covered because she just unveiled a new jewelry line inspired by her album Ceremonials. The capsule collection has rings, earrings, cuffs, and necklaces and you can grab it all off of her personal e-commerce site Flotique.

Florence was recently in the news for singing one of her hit songs along with fans in the London Underground. Florence was on her way home from the Kendrick Lamar show at the Hammersmith Apollo when found herself in an interesting subway car. We say interesting because she was recognized and fans of Florence starting singing her hit song from 2009, You’ve Got The Love. A source told the Daily Mail that, “Florence jumped on the Tube after Kendrick and, as you can imagine, every carriage was packed.At first she tried to keep a low profile but it didn’t take long for a few people to recognize her.”

How I Met Your Mother pays homage to MuchMusic

Last night’s episode of How I Met Your Mother was ‘maple themed’, with Vancouver-born actress Colbie Smulder’s character Robin Scherbatsky having more of her past as Canadian teen pop singer Robin Sparkles explored on the show. In the episode, titled P.S. I Love You, Scherbatsky’s fiance Barney Stinson, played by Neil Patrick Harris, finds an old episode of Behind The Tunes, the ‘MuchMusic version’ of VH1′s Behind the Music, which chronicled Robin’s move from pop to grunge singer.

The episode featured an impressive list of Canadian entertainers, including Jason Priestly, Alan Thicke, kd Lang, Geddy Lee and Paul Schaffer, who all acted as themselves while remembering Robin Sparkles transition to Robin Daggers. And if there was any question over whether Robin’s evolution from a pop singer to the princess of grunge was based on Alanis Morissette, Dave Coulier’s hilarious reassurance to the camera that Sparkle’s break up song was not about him definitely sealed the comparison (Morissette’s You Oughta Know is widely believed to have been written about her relationship with Coulier).

With many Canadian references, including an entire scene in Tim Hortons, an album reaching ‘maple’ status, and celebrities remembering what donut they were eating when Sparkles had a break down during the Grey Cup, the honey glaze on the timbit was definitely the numerous references to MuchMusic. Fall Out Boy return from hiatus with new single

From 98 Degrees, NKOTB and Boyz II Men going out on tour together to Justin Timberlake dropping his first single in years to Destiny’s Child performing at the Super Bowl, 2013 is shaping up to be the year of the 1990s comeback. It only make sense for pop punk band Fall Out Boy to join the movement, returning to music over three years after announcing their hiatus. This week the pop punk band announced their plans to release a new album on May 6 and 7, titled Save Rock and Roll.

The news came via a series of tweets from bassist Pete Wentz, which included a link to a blog post explaining how “…this isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.” The post also included a new song called My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up). The video contains a cameo from 2 Chainz, who is busy lighting everything on fire, including old Fall Out Boy records. Could this mean a collaboration in the works?

Fall Out Boy are getting back into the swing of things by playing a few intimate shows before going on a full tour starting in May. Canada will get to belt out Sugar We’re Going Down and A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me on May 24 in Toronto, May 25 in Montreal, and June 20 in Vancouver.

Well this is an interesting trio. The Grammy Awards have announced today that Rihanna(okay), Bruno Mars(makes sense) and Sting(huh?) will perform together during Sunday’s broadcast special. I get Bruno and Sting and I get Bruno and Rihanna, but the three together? This should be interesting. Or uncomfortable. I’m hoping for interesting.

Kelly Clarkson was also announced this morning as a performer, joining, wait for it, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, the Black Keys, Fun., the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Jack White, Elton John and Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5, and Justin Timberlake. This year’s Grammy Awards ceremony will be timed with a calendar.

Two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J will be hosting the annual show, with presenters including nominees Carly Rae Jepsen and Katy Perry, actor Kaley Cuoco, actor and three-time Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris, five-time GRAMMY winner Faith Hill, three-time GRAMMY winner Tim McGraw, and four-time GRAMMY winner Keith Urban.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards air at 8E/5P on Sunday, February 10.

Be it love affairs or IPL teams, the chemistry shared between Cricket and Bollywood is simply wonderful. And what could be more wonderful than the Women’s World Cup taking place in the film city, Mumbai?

Anyway, what’s news is that the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team is crazy about Bollywood. Some of them are hread speaking only in Hindi and also humming Bollywood tunes. Srilankhan skipper, Shashikala Siriwardene said excitedly, “I started watching Hindi movies when I was a kid. They used to screen two movies a week in my hometown. The reason I got so hooked was because I understood them. The theatres always had Sinhalese translation. Eventually, I grasped the language too.”

Her personal favorite is none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The 27-year-old further said, “Salman Khan, of course! Maine Pyaar Kiya is my favourite movie of Salman. The youngsters in our team prefer Ranbir Kapoor.”

Some of the Bollywood films have also been an inspiration to the cricketers. “The last movie I saw in a theater was Dil Bole Hadippa. It appealed a lot to me as I could connect with the story. It is very similar to our lives. Women struggling to make a mark in cricket…,” said Shashikala.

The Sri lankan skipper is also an ardent fan of Kajol.
