Emraan Hashmi to star in Oscar winner Danis Tanovic’s next

Emraan Hashmi, who rose to fame by becoming the “serial Kisser” of Bollywood, is now going to make his international debut soon which will be directed by the Academy Award (Oscar) winning director Danis Tanovic.
Emraan Hashmi has been invited to the premier of Danis Tanovic’s latest venture “An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker” at Berlin International Film Festival, he feels this movie will be the perfect platform for him to prove that he is among India’s finest actors.

Hashmi who is super excited about the movie said “It is high concept story, has an Indian team behind it and a director like Danis, who has a lot of clout globally. I am hoping that this film will open all the doors for me as an actor”.

Tanovic has become world famous after winning the Oscar award for the Best Foreign Language movie for the war drama ‘No Man’s Land’ in 2001 which also beat our Indian movie “Lagaan” that year in the respective category.

His next movie which does not have a title yet will be produced by Anurag kashyap Films Ltd along with Sikhya Entertainment and Cinemorphic. It stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role and has strong indian connect in terms of script, details of other cast are yet to be revealed.

Emraan Hashmi made his debut back in 2003 with Footpath and has established himself in the Bollywood after delivering hits like Murder(2004), Gangster(2005), Jannat(2007), Once upon a time in Mumbai(2010). He also won lot of critical acclamation for his performance in the movie “Shanghai” which actually made Tanovic choose him for his next movie. Hope Tanovic’s movie paves path for Emraan to become an international star soon.

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and his female protagonist in movies like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Khabhi Khushi Khabhi Gham’ Kajol are voted as the most romantic couple of all time in the Bollywood. The poll was conducted by Sanona, the UK’s largest online Pay-Per-View Indian movie portal.

Sharukh and Kajol also overcame bollywood’s the most iconic couples from last three decades like Amitabh bachchan and Rekha, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Rajkapoor and Nargis. They won the poll for their scorching chemistry on the screen in the Bollywood’s all-time classic ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

In the movie the couple play two young indian’s who fall in love during a eurotrip. The climax scene where Kajol runs to get on to the train for Shahrukh still gives goose bumps to fans while watching.

“There was somewhat of a gap between ShahRukh Khan and Kajol, and the rest. This shows that they really have captivated the hearts of millions in the past 20 years since first coming together in ‘Baazigar’ (1993). Perhaps they are the only on-screen couple who can actually draw audiences on the basis on them being in a movie together,” said Adam Davies, CEO of Sanona.

Shahrukh Khan also made it to top ten with another co-star Rani Mukherjee and showed that he is the bollywood’s king of romance.

Other romantic couples who have made it into top 10 include Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in Kaminey, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’.

Katy Perry doesn’t want to be friends with Rihanna because of her rekindled relationship with Chris Brown. Their fallout began in October when Rihanna’s relationship was becoming more and more apparent and Katy specifically asked to be seated far away from Rihanna during Sunday night’s Grammy Awards presentation. A source told US Magazine, “They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown.” The Daily Mail cited an insider who told HollywoodLife.com, “Rihanna doesn’t have a problem with anyone and could give a f— about what anybody thinks about her relationship. She was focused on her and Chris and enjoying her night.”
