First came the feud, now comes the interview. Mariah Carey recently opened up after the “American Idol” confrontation with Barbara Walters during an episode of “Nightline.”
In the clip, which airs on ABC tonight (January 7), the 42-year-old singer revealed that she was concerned for her safety while filming episodes of the Fox singing competition after the infamous fight with Nicki Minaj.“[It] felt like an unsafe work environment,” Miss Carey said after revealing that the “Pink Friday” singer allegedly threatened to shoot her during their battle of words.
“Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at anybody it’s not appropriate,” Mariah added.
The “Hero” songstress took matters into her own hands after feeling a drop in personal safety and explained, “Sitting there on the road with [my nearly 2-year-old twins], I’m not going to take any chances. So yeah, I did hire more security.”
