Reason why Salman Khan defended Shahrukh Khan

Reason why Salman Khan defended Shahrukh Khan

Salman Khan

Bigg Boss 6 gives us a lot of gossips, truths and personal revelations about actors. We had reported to you earlier that Salman Khan had defended his arch rival Shahrukh Khan on his reality show Bigg Bozz 6. The actor now reveals that though he doesn’t get along well with SRK, he will not stand any thing unfair said about him.

Salman also added that, not just Shahrukh Khan, but he would have defended anyone if something wrong and unjust was being said.

“If anyone has become something, it is because of his dedication. We have no right to put somebody down. We (SRK and me) don’t get along at all, but what is not right is not right. The fact that Shahrukh comes out of his house and goes to work provides so many people with work…so who are you to take credit for that?” Salman explained.

The superstar also wonders why what he said about Shahrukh Khan became such a big issue.

“I also did mention the same about Preity Zinta. I wonder why people are not talking about that!” Salman said.

Salman and Shahrukh have been on bad terms since 2008, on Katrina Kaif’s birthday .

Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson performing at Obama’s inauguration

Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson performing at Obama’s inauguration

Beyonce Knowles is performing at President Barack Obama’s second inauguration. The singer, who performed at his first inauguration in 2009 and supported him throughout his campaign for a second term, is set to sing the National Anthem at the prestigious event.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee told USA Today that Kelly Clarkson will also perform My Country Tis of Thee, while James Taylor will sing America The Beautiful on the West Front of the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. on January 21. The 51-year-old President said in a statement “Vice President Biden and I are honoured to have these wonderfully talented musical artists perform at the Inaugural ceremony. Their music is often at the heart of the American story and speaks to folks across the country.”

Beyonce also performed a cover of Etta James’ At Last for the President and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Neighbourhood Inaugural Ball four years ago. The 31-year-old singer has long been one of the President’s most high profile supporters.
She wrote a letter of praise for him ahead of last November’s US presidential election, in which she credited him with inspiring the future generation, including her own daughter, writing “Every day we see your heart and character, inspiring us to give more of ourselves. You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be. You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be.” Beyonce also designed a T-shirt to raise money for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

Spring Breakers movie poster revealed

Spring Breakers movie poster revealed

The movie poster for this year’s Spring Breakers movie has been revealed. It features Pretty Little Liars‘ Ashley Benson, Selena Gomez, James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, and Rachel Korine. While the movie itself seems to take a pretty surreal-yet-realistic take on violent youth culture and general teenage dissonance, the poster leaves me a little disappointed. The movie is supposed to by gritty and raw but the poster screams processed and air-brushed which takes away from the film’s overall message. What do you guys think? Check out the full poster below.

In other related news, did you guys see James Franco and Ashley Benson’s interpretation of Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend? Watch it here. And be confused. Be very confused. And what did you guys think about last night’s PLL opener for the second half of season three? Sound off on our Twitter @MuchMusic.

Nicki says Mariah is one of her fave artists

Nicki says Mariah is one of her fave artists

Nicki Minaj claims Mariah Carey is one of her “favourite artists of all time”. The Va Va Voom singer, who went head-to-head with the Hero singer during filming for the new series of American Idol last October and allegedly threatened to shoot Mariah, insists she has buried the hatchet with her fellow judge and feels privileged to be on a panel with her.

She told USMagazine.com on Tuesday, “I say nice things about Mariah all the time. She’s one of my favourite artists of all times. She’s really shaped a generation of singers. To be on a panel with her, it’s kind of crazy.” The rapper also joked that she and Mariah were able to get past their feud by watching her sex tape. On hearing what Nicki had to say about her, Mariah conceded that she always knew her former rival was going to be a huge star.

Mariah explained, “That was obviously a very sweet thing to say. Nicki and I worked together very early on in her career and did a song – it’s called Up Out My Face, ironically. I did know, and feel, she was going to go very far.” Earlier this week, Mariah revealed that she felt extremely unsafe after their argument and confirmed she hired extra security after it. Mariah shared, “It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, it’s not appropriate… I’m a professional. I’m not used to that type of environment.”

Mariah added, “Sitting there on the road with two babies, I’m not going to take any chances.” Mariah is one of the three new judges to join the reality TV show’s judging panel for its new season, which kicks off on January 16. And the singer admitted that she hopes her battle with Nicki will help to boost the show’s ratings. Mariah explained, “For all the drama, I hope it helps the show.”
