Poor show at Box-office by “The Attacks of 26/11″ and “I me Aur Main”

Two movies I,Me Aur Main and The Attacks of 26/11 which were released with decent hype have not made any impact at the box-office . However, despite of poor critical response compared to “The Attacks of 26/11” I,me aur Main managed to do better.

According to trade analysts, ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ has been able to gross around Rs. 5.25 crores in the opening weekend and has performed slightly well in the Southern part of the country and Maharashtra. On the other hand, ‘I, Me Aur Main’ has been able to garner an amount of 5.4 crores approximately in its first weekend.

Meanwhile, the Bollywood box-office has been very dry over the past 2 weeks with only Kai po Che doing good. Lot of movies have failed to draw the crowds and at the same time they were critically not at all well received and in turn faded out without trace.

However, in the coming two months lot big budget films are about to release which is a good sign for the Bollywood traders. “Himmatwala” is the first big release and is expected to join 100 crore clib according to the trade pundits.

Looks like its not work alone but fun too for the leading cast of YRF’s movie Gunday, which is currently being shot in Kolkata.

The actors are having the time of their lives filming for the movie, which is directed by Ali Abbas afar. The filmmaker is also keeping the world posted on all the fun moments, on micro-blogging sites.

Letting loose all their inhibitions, the trio has been having a whale of a time, be it Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh arm-wrestling or the three taking a boat ride under Howrah. Also seen are Ranveer and Arjun posing with a man guised as Lord Shiva.

Writes Ali Abbas afar, “For every one asking Gunday is a completely fictional set on the backdrop real events that happened between 1971-88. We will announce the release date shortly once major part of filming is over ”

So why the retro look?

Well, the film is ‘Gunday’ is set in 1970s and 1980s, hence the retro avatar. The story is on the lives of two small time thieves who later get involved in the coal mafia, and become the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men. The director also revealed that both the lead actors will be seen as Bengali’s in the film.

Gunday will release this year.

It’s been a busy day for Major La er. In addition to releasing their new dance-hall inspired track Watch Out For This (Bumaye), the group has also announced that their next album will hit stores on April 15. Free The Universe, the second studio album from Major La er, has drawn much attention from fans over the past months, with the album’s release date continually being pushed back.

The group released a statement on their site regarding the postponement of Free The Universe, saying “Our fans are the most important part of what makes Major La er what it is. It is with that consideration that ‘Free The Universe’ will not be released this month as previously scheduled. We never want to disappoint our supporters but circumstances out of our control have made us unable to keep the intended date.” The band goes on to say that the delay has given them time to improve the new album, which is now available for pre-order.

Possibly as a sign of good faith, Major La er posted new music for their fans today with Watch Out For This (Bumaye), which features Busy Signal, The Flexican and FS Green. Check out the new track below.

Watch a sneak peek of rehearsals for Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour

The stage is almost set for Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour. With only four days to go until the latest tour by Rihanna kicks off, the singer is giving fans a sneak peek into the making of the Diamonds stage and the dance rehearsals for the show. Described as being ’20 per cent bigger’ than Rihanna’s previous tours, close to 200 people will be required to build and break down the stage at every tour stop.

In addition to the stage build, Rihanna has also shared rehearsal footage on her official YouTube page, which shows the singer practicing routines for two new songs that have been added to her setlist from Unapologetic.

Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour begins this Friday in Buffalo and hits Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Calgary later this month.

M.I.A dropped an eight minute Matangi mix today which is a dangerously insane mix and there is nothing like it so far. The Sri Lankan born makes best use of her music knowledge and includes South Asian melodies, Hindi-movie singing, twisted beats, and thumping bass. The best part is when M.I.A herself shows up five minutes into the track. And the other awesome part of the track is at 2:35 (the men’s humming from Tamil song which was taken from a Tamil movie “Gentlemen”). She also released a new material at a fashion show in Paris and this mix was used as a soundtrack her collaboration with the fashion line Ken o. Matangi is also the name of M.I.A’s next album, which is out on April 15th. Make sure you give the “Matangi” mix a listen below, there is definitely nothing like it!

Justin Bieber had the “worst birthday” at London’s Cirque du Soir and it wasn’t because he couldn’t get Jaden Smith into a club. On March 1 Justin tweeted out, “Worst birthday” which led to speculation as to what happened. According to a source close to Us maga ine, it was alluded that it was because Jaden was underage and Justin wanted to get him into the club saying, “There was never any mention of Jaden being there, so when he showed up, it caused problems… They could have stayed if Jaden left, but Justin wanted to be loyal to his good friend.”

Justin spoke out on what actually happened saying on an instagram, “The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will is letting his 14 year old in a club, I don’t think so.. 2nd I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn’t stay at their weak ass club so they wouldn’t look bad for me walking in and right back out..i said m “worst bday” but that was due to dummies pushing over my fans and being overly aggressive. Btw it wasn’t the worst bday cu all my friends from back home flew in I was just mad in the moment”

I don’t know about you guys, but I believe in Justin’s story. I don’t think Will Smith would have allowed for his son (no matter how “cool” or “famous” that family is) to go to a club when he was underage. And I also don’t think that Justin would have let something that small affect him. Justin has shown everyone he can have a good time in the club or out of the club and I would like to believe (hah!) that he plays by the rules like any fresh faced nineteen-year-old young man.

Murs appeared on the UK talk show along with a panel of celebrity guests and entertained Twitter questions from his fans. But what Murs didn’t know what that one of the questions Norton read out loud was a query Murs previously answered on the social media site.

When asked which celebrity he would like to have children with, Murs gave a honest answer. Unfortunately, or fortunately for Olly, the celebrity he admitted to having a crush on was sitting only a few feet away from him during the interview.

Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are presently in Bhuj, busy shooting for their upcoming flick Rambo Rajkumar. The first schedule of the film is being shot in Gujarat and the duo have recently wrapped the shooting of a song.

The film went on floors on March 1. Directed by Prabhu Deva, Rambo Rajkumar will see Shahid Kapoor as the hero of the masses for the very first time. Prabhu Deva has even tweeted a picture of Shahid from the song’s shoot and wrote, “Rambo Rajkumar day 3 – my hero @shahidkapoor looking rugged and cool.. Shootin a song.. Almost finishing it.” The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha.

Shahid being a very good dancer, is pretty excited to work with Prabhu Deva as the director has included a few ama ing dance numbers in the film.

Shahid also posted an image of Sonakshi Sinha on Twitter and wrote, “@sonakshisinha clicked in bhuj through my lens.”

Well, not just acting and dancing alone, Shahid Kapoor is extremely fond of photography too, and whenever possible he goes clicking.
