Ranbir Kapoor is really busy these days working on films simultaneously. The actor who will also be seen as legendary singer and actor Kishore Kumar in a biopic, feels that singers should be given a lot of importance as they play a very important role in an actor’s life.
Ranbir said at a press conference before the Colours Screen Awards: “Kishore Kumar has sung for my father so many times. While doing ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, I got an opportunity to sing a few lines of his (Kishore Kumar) song too. A singer contributes a lot in an actor’s life and must be given credit for that.”
Ranbir who is also considered as the chocolate boy of Bollywood said that he’s a huge fan of Kishore Kumar.
He said: “Whenever we talk of Kishore Kumar, all we can say is that he used to sing from his heart.”
Kishore Kumar died the of 58. He gave Bollywood some of the biggest hits and evergreen songs like, Chalte chalte mere ye geet yaad rakhna, O Hansini, Aa chal ke tujhe and Pyar Manga Tumse to name a few.
The 30 year old also revealed that the script for the film hasn’t been zeroed in yet.
“It is a great opportunity for me to act in a biopic of Kishore Kumar on screen. The script is not ready at the moment and we are waiting for Anurag Basu to complete it. It is my duty as an actor that I do full justice to it,” said Ranbir.
Ranbir will not be singing in the film, but “I will try my best to look and act like him”.
As of now, Ranbir has almost completed shooting for Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam. He will also be seen in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani opposite Deepika Padukone later this year.
