Kangana Ranaut to do a female-centric flick

Kangana Ranaut to do a female-centric flick

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut’s next, a woman-centric flick titled ‘Revolver Rani’, is all set to go on floors next month. The film is co-produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Rahul Mittra and directed by Sai Kabir.

According to Mittra, “It’s a great title and a good story”.

“As a subject, both I and Tigmasnhu were convinced about it. Title justifies the story. The shooting of the film will begin from March. Kangana is all excited to get into that space,” he told.

“Since it’s a female-oriented film, Kangana Ranaut is there and other casting is happening. We should be locking the rest of the cast within next three to four days,” he added.

According to reports, initially, a senior actress was approached for the role. The actress loved the script but couldn’t begin filming for the project immediately. And so, Kangana has finally been roped in.

“She was supposed to get back to us, but we couldn’t wait any longer, so we went ahead with Kangana,” he added.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Ms Ranaut has been replaced by Huma Qureshi in Dedh Ishqiya, a sequel to the 2010 super hit flick Ishqiya. The shoot starts on February 18 in Lucknow.

Watch Justin Bieber read cue cards for his SNL promo

Watch Justin Bieber read cue cards for his SNL promo

With the SNL promos as the first indication of whether or not a guest host will succeed on the show, Justin Bieber’s chances of getting out of this weekend alive are slim to none. The first time host did the customary promo piece with cast member Keenan Thompson, but Bieber’s nerves were already showing, with the young singer reading his cue cards for each bit. Justin isn’t an actor, so I can understand his lack of ease in front of the camera, but does he have to read his name off the cue card? Saturday is going to be a long, long night.

Justin isn’t the only musician to find himself in the hosting position this year. Adam Levine did his best to make the transition from singer to actor on January 26, but the Maroon 5 frontman was stiff and uncomfortable during his skits, obviously reading his lines. At least Justin will have a few moments of redemption during the musical numbers of the show, with Bieber acting as both host and musical guest for Saturday’s taping.

The Wanted get their own reality show on E!

The Wanted get their own reality show on E!

Move over, Kardashians. There’s a new group of hard partying celebs about to hit E!, but we’ve actually pinpointed what these ones do for a living. The Wanted are set to make their reality television debut with their very own show on the E! network. The Wanted Life is set to premiere in June and will be produced by, wait for it, Ryan Seacrest. That man can turn water to wine and mediocre ideas into millions.

The Wanted will be following in the footsteps of their fellow UK musicians The Saturdays. The five piece girl band scored their own show on the network earlier this year, with Chasing The Saturdays debuting this past January. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lotche is set to launch his own reality show on E! later this spring. Jeah.

Suzanne Kolb, president of E!, describes The Wanted Life as a show that “…is a perfect blend of music, bromance and superstardom chronicling the lives of one of music’s biggest groups as they continue to make their mark on the global stage.” Kolb continues, saying “The rock star lifestyle is something that everyone has fantasized about and The Wanted are giving viewers total access into their world as they live out this dream.” Plus, they’re totally going do something inappropriate every five minutes. Yup, I’ll watch.
