When Sridevi was driven by a female taxi driver

Bollywood actress Sridevi was driven by a female taxi driver to Design One, a fund-raising exhibition, she inaugurated in Delhi, recently. The female cabbie named Savita, works for Sakha Cabs which aims to provide safe transport for women in the capital.

Sridevi’s latest flick English Vinglish saw the actress’s reel character supporting women empowerment, where she was seen making laddoos and learning English. Sridevi was all praises for Savita.

“Like the first time how I worked with a woman director in English Vinglish, I travelled with a woman taxi driver. It was quite exciting and thrilled,” Sridevi said.

The actress added, “Her name is Savita and she was really good.”

Hinting at the changes that are taking place in terms of women empowerment, Sridevi had said in an interview, “Things are changing now and that’s the reason I’m here.”

Sahachari Foundation, which organised the exhibition, donated a car to Sakha Cabs for Women. Design One is an initiative that showcased the products of young Indian designers like Masaba Gupta, Abha Dalmia, Falguni Mehta, Anjali Kalia, Rina Singh and Neeru & Madhu to raise funds for an NGO.

Alright, NME. It’s one thing to point out the negative sides of artists but it’s also another thing to award stars for being villains, but be prepared for the fall out. Directioners are probably one of the most passionate fans out there. Like, ever.

Perfectly Made Kicks has tailor made a pair modeled after the Isabel Marant shoe for Beyonce and created it with the skin of stingray, ostrich, calf hair, crocodile, and anaconda. Pere Hilton announces the birth of his first child

Pere Hilton broke some shocking celebrity news of his own late last night when he posted a picture of himself holding his newborn son on his famous gossip site. The famous celebrity blogger announced on his site, Pere Hilton.com, the exciting news that he is now a father to a one month-old son. I guess the best way to keep things quiet in Hollywood is to be the person who reports on everything!

Pere has stayed mum on the news of his first child up until this point, with no information on whether his first child was adopted or born via surrogate. He issued the following statement on his site, along with a picture of himself holding his newborn.

Emraan Hashmi’s character in his upcoming movie Ghanchakkar is supposedly a die hard fan of actor Mithun Chakraborty. He is playing a thief in this movie which has Vidya Balan acting opposite him.

One of the sources said “Emraan Hashmi will be shown as the diehard fan of Mithun. One will get to see Emraan dress, talk and even dance like him, which includes Mithun’s world famous gyrations to the songs of ‘I Am A Disco Dancer’ and ‘Yaad Aa Raha Hai Tera Pyar’. Bu is that Emraan is all set to have a series of training sessions in order to match up with Mithunda’s steps.”

Talking about the film, Director Rajkumar Gupta said that they are planning to do something major to strengthen Emraan’s character’s bonding with Mithunda; but he refused to reveal any details. While he is all praise for Emraan’s dedicated act, he added that this film was his tribute to his growing-up years idoli ing Mithunda.

Ghanchakkar is already creating ripples in the industry with the comeback of Emraan-Vidya pair after ‘The Dirty Picture’ and director Rajkumar Gupta-Vidya pair after their last outing in ‘No one killed Jessica’. With this new news, we are all excited to see Emraan Hashmi, the new DISCO DANCER.
