Sonakshi Sinha glams up for an item song in ‘Himmatwala’ remake

Sonakshi Sinha

Ever since Sonakshi Sinha entered Bollywood, it has always been desi look for her. Audience are now tired looking at this traditional avatar of hers, for almost two years now.

We hear that the Jr Shotgun herself is bored for this regular look and is set to glam it up for an 80s’ inspired special song in the new Himmatwala. Her role model for the song is none other than the yesteryear diva Parveen Babi.
Ms Sinha is said to be making an item appearance in Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala . The film headlines Ajay Devgn and south heroine Tamannaah in the lead.

Reports state that the song is titled, Thank God It’s Friday, and will be choreographed by Chinni Prakash. The song will feature around 100 dancers. The item track will see a disco set up of the 80s, everything shiny, right from the floor to the ceiling.

A source is quoted as saying, “Sajid has conceived of this lavish introductory song for which he wanted Sonakshi. She has a certain rustic image that she has been trying to break out of. Though she is proud of the roles she has done so far, this song seems like the perfect platform for her to attempt a makeover.”

Ace designer Manish Malhotra will be doing Sonakshi’s costumes.

Confirming Sonahski Sinha as an item girl in his film, Sajid Khan refuses to divulge any further details.
