Hitting number one for the seventh week, Taylor Swift’s Red album topped the Billboard 200 charts for the final week of 2012.
The album’s success awarded the country crooner a total of 24 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts throughout her career. Her previous album Fearless spent 11 weeks in the top spot with Speak Now topping it for six weeks.Close on Miss Swift’s heels was the “Les Misérables” film soundtrack, which sold 136,000 copies. Rounding out the top five were One Direction’s Take Me Home, Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox, and T.I.’s Trouble Man.
However, with no major albums slated for release this week it’s likely that Red will once again be sitting pretty at the top of the charts.
