And now, Vidya is all set to act in a biopic on famous Carnatic classical singer M.S. Subbulakshmi! Putting to rest recent rumours that she is acting in a biopic on Ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the news has news been confirmed.
The filmmaker, Rajiv Menon has reportedly planned a lavish musical and it seems he is in talks with several financiers!
Insiders reveal that Vidya is very busy these days, “Vidya has almost wrapped up Raj Kumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar with Emraan Hashmi. Post that, she will work on Shaadi Ke Side Effects with Farhan Akhtar and is likely to start either Sujoy Ghosh’s next or the biopic.”
Vidya who is being very tight-lipped about the project said, “I can’t reveal much as I’m bound by contract. All I can say is that I’m doing a biopic. When the time is right, the makers will make the necessary announcement.” Vidya Balan is supposedly a great fan of the singer.
VIdya Balan has been very happy lately. She got married to long time beau Siddharth Roy Kapoor recently and on the other hand she won the Filmfare award for the Best Actor Female for her amazing performance in Kahaani.
Looks like biopics is the Bollywood flavour this season! After Irrfan Khan,Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar who are part of Paan Singh Tomar, a biopic on Kishore Kumar and Bhaag Milka Bhaag, it is now Vidya Balan’s turn to essay he famous singer! The flavor seems a good one! But what can we say when it comes to overdose?
