Looking back over the past year, Kate Middleton had a crazy roller coaster of highs and lows, and it all happened in the high-profile public eye.
From celebrating her first wedding anniversary to hitting the road for a worldwide publicity tour, the Duchess of Cambridge was a busy lady.And perhaps Kate’s biggest announcement in 2012 was the exciting news of her pregnancy, prematurely forced into the media due to her hospitalization for treatment of morning sickness.
Wherever she went in 2012, the Duchess of Cambridge made a fashionable impression. Here are Kate’s top looks of 2012!
London’s Natural History Museum (November 27) The Duchess showed off her new bangs in a long sleeved, knee length emerald green dress and black pumps as she attended the museum’s Treasures Gallery opening.
University of Cambridge (November 8) Kate looked lovely in a black and white Alice Temperley floor length lace dress as she and William celebrated the prestigious school’s 600th anniversary.
Royal Jubilee Tour- Brisbane (September 19) Looking just as beautiful dressed down as she does in a gown, Kate wore a simple pair of skinny jeans and a long sleeved white sweater accessorized with a colorful scarf for her arrival in the Australian city as part of the Royal Jubilee tour.
Diamond Jubilee Tour-Solomon Islands (September 17) Showing off her feminine side, the Duchess donned a pale yellow knee length frock with eye-lit cut outs paired with open toed sandals for her tour of the islands.
Singapore (September 12) Kate looked light and airy in a floral print dress and her trademark nude pumps as she and William visited the British High Commander’s residence.
The Summer Olympics (August 10) Cheering loudly for the home team, Kate kept it simple in a white belted skirt and sleeveless white blouse as she took in the women’s field hockey medal game.
Royal Academy of Arts (July 30) Kate looked elegant in a dove grey Roksanda Ilinic dress and grey suede heels at the academy’s Creative Industries reception.
Bacon College (July 26) Accompanied by William and brother-in-law Prince Harry, Kate enjoyed a tour of the grounds in a grey and white patterned dress with a matching white belt that was perfect for a warm July day.
Beaufort Polo Club (June 17) Kate chose the fashionable but casual route in jeans, an olive green shirt and a brown jacket as the Royal Couple showed off their cocker spaniel puppy, Lupo, at a polo exhibition.
Diamond Jubilee River Pageant (June 3) The Duchess looked radiant in a red Alexander McQueen suit with a matching hat and nude heels at the event in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s time on the throne.
Our Greatest Team Rises Gala (May 11) Kate was a show stopper in a floor length teal Jenny Packham gown with lace embellishment as she attended the charity event at Royal Albert Hall.
Imperial War Museum (April 26) Just days away from celebrating her first wedding anniversary, Kate showed off her figure in a belted charcoal grey Amanda Wakeley dress as she toured the museum.
