If reports are true, Parineeti Chopra and SOTY debutant Siddharth Malhotra will be paired for a film. Apparently director Vinil Mathew is adamant on casting the duo. Vini’s first assignment will be a joint production between Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap.
Vinil’s debut film as a director will be a love story. A source said: “Karan had several meetings with the team of Phantom Productions comprising Anurag, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl and both parties shook hands over the script.”
It’s even said that if Vinil wants Siddharth for his film, Karan Johar will ensure he gets his perfect casting. Since Karan has launched Siddharth in the film industry, it won’t be tough for the director-producer to get the actor on board.
The shooting for the film is most likely to begin by the end of the year, if the cast is zeroed in!
Parineeti was last opposite Arjun Kapoor in Ishaqzade. The actress received a tremondous response from her fans and the critics for her acting in the film.
