We’re huge fans of your music. 212? We bumped that full-time styles here at the office. We got ready in the morning to Van Vogue. That Harlem Shake remix? Ama ing. Your music represented a youthful, fun, sassy, and hard-hitting sentimentality that is not usually present in our sugary-pop music landscape. And you’re undoubtedly so talented.

But then you pull things that really suck. Like the Angel Ha e beef. Calling out Pere Hilton using derogatory slurs.

And now this. Picking fights with Rita Ora and calling her out on Twitter writing, “Lol Rita Ora is so thirsty. She climbed over the wall of my dancers dressing room to snap photos”. A ealia added, “She’s been TRYING IT on this tour man…..” and finally tweeting, “She’s mad she’s Rihanna’s understudy.” Then apparently Rita Ora shot back in a text that was screen grabbed by you saying, “At the end of the day I don’t know who the f– you think you are secondly u don’t know me I’ve done nothin but try b nice to u 3rdly ur dancers were talkn to me further more ill see ur ass at the motherf—– concert.” Negative energy just begets more negative energy, don’t you think? If just doesn’t look good. At all.

From what I can analy e from the situation is that you, A ealia, are more than happy to pick fights with other performers, pushing them down to build yourself up, to gain petty street cred. Don’t you know you’re the textbook definition of a bully?

Yep. You’re venturing into 2009 Kanye West territory. Except it’s like you’re worse because at least Kanye was trying to big-up Beyonce and you’re just being mean-spirited.

So this writer is unfollowing you now and based on a few comments sections on other blogs, a lot of your other fans are too.

Watch Ryan Gosling in a clip from The Place Beyond The Pines

StudioCanal UK released a new clip of Ryan Gosling and Ben Mendelsohn in Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond The Pines. The film follows a motorcycle stunt rider who starts robbing banks in order to provide for his family. In the scene below, Luke (Ryan Gosling) plans a robbery with his partner, Robin Van Der ee (Ben Mendelsohn). The cast also includes Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, and Ray Liota.

This film marks Gosling’s second collaboration with Derek Cianfrance. The two first worked together in 2010’s Blue Valentine. Gosling is known for forming solid relationships with his directors, readying to release Only God Forgives, his second film with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, on May 23.

Pines will open in limited release in New York and Los Angeles on March 29, followed by a wide release on April 12. So the next two months will pretty much guarantee lots of Ryan Gosling for us fans.

Selena Gome is back in the dance studio with her girlfriends to release a new piece of choreography, this time pairing her moves with a song that definitely seems like it’s throwing some mayjah shade towards Gome ’s ex, Justin Bieber. Maybe not Justin Bieber from two months ago, but the new Justin Bieber that wears a gas mask and complains about his extravagant birthday parties. I think she’s shading that one.

Gome is joined by four friends, including The Secret Life Of The American Teenager actress Francia Raisa, to dance to Dustin Tavella’s track Everybody Knows. Priyanka Chopra’s first item song titled Babli Badmaash, is a retro-tribute to the 80s. The song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, composed by Anu Malik, written by Kumaar and choreographed by Ahmed Khan.

Producer Ekta Kapoor spoke about Priyanka’s association with the film. She said, “Priyanka’s first association with Balaji had to be special.We went through numerous tracks before finalising on what we all felt was a winner.Priyanka has taken it to a new level and will become synonymous with Babli. However,the most interesting and attractive feature of the song is the costume,designed by Manish Malhotra.Its a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan’s famous bulb outfit from Yaarana (1981),with a modern twist.Its made of leather and rubber (reminiscence of eenat Amans slinky gowns ) and has LED lights fitted to it,which accentuate Priyankas sexy curves”.

Shootout At Wadala’s official handle tweeted a picture of the actress and wrote: “She’s ELECTRIC as #BadmaashBabli! Check out @priyankachopra’s EXCLUSIVE look in #ShootoutatWadala!”

Her costume, designed by Manish Malhotra, is similar to the bulb outfit worn by megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Yaraana.

Priyanka says, “I had a blast shooting for it. I love the track and I am excited to work with Ekta, Sanjay, Ahmed, Anu Sir and the rest of the team”.

Arshad Warsi says films like Kai Po Che and his upcoming film Jolly LLB. open doors for reluctant filmmakers who believe in creating such cinema.

Says the 44-year-old, “When people accept such films, it opens doors for good cinema. There are a lot of good filmmakers who cannot make their films because they are into this kind of cinema.” The actors was on the sets of TV show “Safar Filmy Comedy Ka”, where he was present to promote Jolly LLB.

“When films like ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Barfi!’ work and if ‘Jolly LLB’ also works, a lot of those writers, who write such movies will be encouraged to come forward. This is good cinema and it should be made,” he added.

Jolly LLB is a social satire on the law system of India. Arshad plays a lawyer in the film.

It is learnt that Shahrukh Khan was approached to play Arshad Warsi’s role. But later, the director returned to Arshad with the script.

“Subhash had thought about this long time back and he wanted to cast me in it even then. But I couldn’t meet him because of some problem due to my secretary and then he went to Shah Rukh. But there was some date issue and he came back to me, I heard the story, loved it and said yes,” Arshad said.

Jolly LLB, releasing March 15, also features Boman Irani and Amrita Rao.

Emraan Hashmi, who has evolved into one of the brilliant actors of Bollywood, has recently been chosen as the lead actor in a movie that will be directed by Oscar award winner Danis Tanovic. The latest news is that ex-bond girl Maryam d’Abo is going to act alongside Emraan Hashmi in the movie.

Maryan d’Abo was the bong girl in the movie ‘The Living Daylights (1987)” which stared Timothy Dalton as the James Bond. Guneet Monga confirmed the news saying “Yes, she is doing the film and we are happy to have her on board. At this point, we can’t divulge anything details.”

According to the sources Maryan’s role in the movie is vital one and she will be the narrator of the movie apparently. It has been a while since Maryan has played an important role in a movie and she has not tasted any success in the recent years.

The movie is produced by Anurag kashyap and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, international banner Cinemorphic and Prashita Chaudhary. Movie is not yet titled and is expected to be released in 2014 summer.

Emraan Hashmi is expecting this movie to open the doors for his international career. He also walked the red carpet at the Berlin Film festival and described it as an ama ing experience.

Indian Film Festival Melbourne to celebrate 100 years of Bollywood

Indian Film Festival Melbourne film, which is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the commonwealth, is going to happen in Melbourne this year celebrating 100 years of Bollywood. Vidya Balan has been chosen as the brand ambassador for the second time in a row. The festival will happen from May 3rd to 15th.

The festival will start with the movie “Raja Harishchandra’ which was the first ever Bollywood movie released in 1913 and end with the premier of Australian movie ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012)’.

Louise Asher, who is Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business in Australian state of Victoria, spoke to the media last night saying “The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is a wonderful demonstration of our growing cultural links and shows the creativity and innovation that Melbourne and Mumbai are both famous for.”

Vidya Balan, who is all excited after chosen as the bran ambassador for the second time, said “It gives me great pleasure to be the brand ambassador for the second time in a row. It has become like a sense of ownership now not just with the festival but also with the place. When anyone mentions Melbourne I feel like they are mentioning home.”

“I used to feel the same about Kolkata and it will always remain special to me. After Kolkata the other important place for me is Melbourne. The common thing between the two places is trams,” she added.

Legandary film maker Late Yash Chopra will be honored in the festival and his last movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ will be screened which starts Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

According to a recent poll conducted by a popular entertainment website, Bipasha Basu got the least votes when asked about the celebrity that want to see married by 2013.

Bipasha Basu who is already 34 years old, is one of 6 other most eligible bachelors  of Bollywood who were in the poll who should get married as soon as possible. In that poll, Bips got least number of votes. We think its mostly as there is no person in her life since she broke up with John. And also the success she is enjoying huge success post her break up.

In the same poll, most of fans wanted Salman Khan to get married by 2013. More than half of the total voters voted for Salman Khan. But the chances of that happening seems to be very low as recently the actor told that he wanted to have  kids and he would be happy if he could skip the marriage part.

After Salman, the celebs who followed him are Rani Mukherjee, Preity inta, John Abraham, Karan Johar and ending with Bipasha Basu. Out of all the people mentioned above it seems that Rani is the most likely person who can get married this year.

Hrithik Roshan, who delivered his career’s biggest hit ‘Agneepath’ recently which is directed by Karan Malhotra is all set to team up with him again for the movie ‘ Shuddhi’ which is based on novel ‘The Immortals of Meluha’ written by Amish. Director is now about to finalise female lead for which he may choose Kareena kapoor or Deepika Padukone based on dates available.

Meanwhile Kareena and Deepika both want to play the role of ‘Sati’ opposite Hrithik Roshan very badly, they are ready to sign the project right away but dates are the issue for them. Deepika already has lot of projects lined up and she is quiet busy for next 6 months or so.

So Kareena could grab the role over Deepika because she only has two movies in her hand among which ‘Satyagraha’ is almost done with its first schedule and other movie ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’ will go on to the sets in the next month.
We already know that Karan Johar has bought the adaptation rights of ‘The Shiva Trilogy’ among which ‘Immortals of Meluha’ is the first part. The movie is all set to go on to the sets in November of this year. The book has been a super success and the best seller in India.

However, adaptation of novels by the Indian directors have mostly ended up in bitter experiences so we have to wait and see if Hrithik ROshan and Karan Malhotra duo prevails this time.

Sushant Singh Rajput won hearts with his stellar performance in Kai Po Che!. But the actor says that he has still a long way to go and a lot to learn – from actor Irrfan Khan. Yes! The actor is apparently a huge fan of the actor who is one of the most versatile actors the industry has seen.

Irrfan Khan’s variety of roles and ability to project himself in front of the camera with such ease has seemingly impressed Sushant. A source close to the actor says,”Sushant feels that Irrfan is one of the finest actors in the industry and that he can learn a lot from him about acting and projecting yourself in front of the camera. He has watched many of Irrfan’s films and believes that he has a strong screen presence —
something he would like to achieve too.”

The Kai Po Che! actor is full of praise for the actor and says,”He is one of the finest actors I have seen. He inspires me and I learn so much just by observing his performances. He is truly magical.”

However, the praise is not one sided. Irrfan Khan was generous in his praise for Sushant and he mentioned,”Sushant has a unique mix of charm, intensity and talent.”

The success of Kai Po Che! has turned the cards for this actor as he has bagged roles in a few noteworthy productions. He’s currently juggling shoots for Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K., which stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt, with a Yash Raj Film directed by Maneesh Sharma. In the latter, he’s paired with Parineeti Chopra.

While there is a bu that he has rejected an offer to work with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, his spokesperson refuted such rumours and said,”So far, he has not been contacted by either. They are huge names in the industry, so if he was approached, why would he decline such good offers?”. True!

It is interesting to see that Bollywood is welcoming young talent with open hands while the audience are accepting the change too. Since the past year, several new faces have emerged and have successfully made a mark as well!

After getting rave reviews for her role in Himmatwala, southern actress Tamannaah is already creating a bu before the release of her debut film. Added to that, we hear she has signed another film opposite Akshay Kumar.

Writer duo Sajid-Farhad known for their dialogues in the Golmaal series and Bol Bachchan are honing the director’s cap for a film with Tamannaah and Akshay Kumar. The film will be a masala entertainer according to the duo.

“We have roped in Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah as the lead pair. It will be be a fun film. It’ll be a complete masala entertainer film,” Sajid said in a recent interview.

The film which is to be produced by Ramesh Taurani will go on floors this July. On the choice of Tamannaah as the lead, Ramesh Taurani said,”We have seen her work down south and feel she would fit the role.”

“We will start rolling from July and we will widely shoot the film abroad. Akshay is known for his comic timing, I hope, both Akshay and Tamannah to be perfect entertainers,” he added.

Lets see if the actress is going to continue her streak of masala films or if she chooses to select more character oriented roles in the near future.

It is not often that an actor manages to stay in the news despite continuous failure at the box office. But Sonam Kapoor is an exception. The stylish diva who is lauded for her style sense says that she has learnt a lesson and would now select only those projects that satisfy her as a performer.

The 27-year-old actor says that she is in no hurry to reach the numero uno spot that most of her contemporaries vie for. She has seen a series of duds – Thank You, Mausam and Players. She says that these films helped her understand the kind of roles she would like to do.
“Two years ago, I did a couple of films and lost my way. I started off with an agenda of doing certain kind of films and got discouraged by the way industry is growing. I went to the wrong path and realised that I am not comfortable in that.”

“I am not in the rat race and don’t want to be the number one actress. I want to work only in those films which make me feel as an artiste. They might not be the biggest projects, actors and directors but if my character is good I will do them,” she added.

The fashionista will soon be seen back to back in three big releases- Raanjhnaa, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and the remake of Khoobsurat.
In Raanjhnaa, Sonam will be seen as a student of JNU. The character is a strong one and Sonam attended workshops and interacted with the students to prepare for her role.

Speaking about the workshop, the actor said, “I did workshop with a street play group for a month. Before I started shooting for the film, I visited the campus and had interacted with the students. Even my actress friend Swara Bhaskar and her mother helped me to prepare for my role. Swara is also a student in JNU and her mother is a professor.”

The Khoobsurat remake will portray Sonam as a free-spirited girl. The film which is being produced by her sister is set to be a modern interpretation of the 1980 movie. Says the Kapoor girl, “My sister is producing the film. It’s her second film after Aisha. It’s a female oriented film. The modern interpretation of the film. It has nothing to do with the earlier part. It’s just taking the spirit of Rekhaji’s character and using it in the new story.”

Priyanka Chopra will be seen in two different looks for her role in the film anjeer. Designer Pria Kataria Puri who is making her foray into the industry with this film is giving Priyanka the required look!

“In the first half of anjeer when she’s abroad, Priyanka would be dressed as a woman entrepreneur should be dressed. You see, in today’s times, a working woman from India doesn’t stand out at the airport. She looks like any chic well-dressed woman from any part of the world,” said Puri.

Pria added, “Later, when Priyanka’s character comes to India, she gets more colourful in her sartorial expression. You would notice that even when an Indian girl in India dresses in western clothes, there is a dash of Indianness in her clothes. She may wear shorts, but it would be orange in colour. Priyanka’s clothes would reflect her changed geo-political mindset.”

Interestingly, Priyanka’s character in the movie, Mala and the designer share a similarity!

“Like Priyanka’s Mala in anjeer, I am an NRI working out of a foreign country. So I instinctively understand the clothes that Priyanka should wear. I often see actresses in our clothes looking wow. But they don’t seem to be dressed in character.”

The designer has so far based all her globally-feted work from Kuwait, where her husband works. She also flies to San Franscisco at least twice a month to meet her daughter who studies in the US. But she says her heart has always been fully Hindustani.

“I insisted on a bound script which I never got. anjeer is the first film I’ve said yes to. One of the reasons is the director Apoorva Lakhia, who’s a friend. The other reason is Priyanka Chopra, who according to me, is the most international actress from Bollywood.”

The designer says she was impressed with the brief on Priyanka’s character that was given to her by Apoorva Lakhia. She says,”He was the first director who gave me a hard-bound script. Earlier I refused offers because I didn’t get a script. For me it’s very important to know the character’s graph to be able to dress her properly. Because of the script, I got to know Priyanka’s character Mala thoroughly before I decided on her look.”

Shahrukh Khan giving all credit to his wifey Gauri Khan, says she is the only one who is entirely responsible for keeping his family together. The actor spoke on the occasion of Women’s Day.

King Khan has always kept mum about his personal life, main reason being his statements are usually twisted by people, which ultimately hurt him and his family.

However, on the special ocassion of Women’s day, the superstar was asked what impact Gauri had on him and his family, to which he replied, “I now refrain from talking about my personal life so I would not be able to tell you, but it’s been a great life.”

“I have been married for 21 years and have beautiful children and like any normal family she keeps it all together. So, it’s absolutely wonderful. If I say anything more than this, then I feel that I talk a lot about my personal life and then people further discuss it in a wrong way and that hurts me because they are my family,” added the 47-year-old.

Shahrukh Khan and Gauri have two children – son Aryan and daughter Suhana.

Meanwhile, Shahrukh took a laudable initiative towards women. He has taken a pledge that henceforth in all his films the heroine’s name would appear ahead of him in the credit titles.

Ajay Devgn is all set to fight with a tiger in his upcoming movie ‘Himmatwala’ and this will be the second time for him after he did similar stunt in Vijaypath(1994) which was the highlight of the film back then.

Himmatwala actually gave lot of misconceptions to the people of it being a spoof but director Sajid Khan has clarified that it is just based on 1980’s and has all the flavours of Bollywood cinema of that era but not at all a spoof. And he also mentioned Ajay’s fight with the tiger in the movie is a serious one.

Ajay Devgn said, “This is the second time I have fought a tiger in life after Vijaypath, we took complete safety precautions. And now it is much easier. In Vijaypath when I fought a tiger, there was no safety. It was just him and me in the cage, and fighting.”

The movie is all set to release this march 29th and has created huge bu in the B-Town already with its unique theme of bringing back magic of 1980’s and Sajid Khan challenging the crowd about Ajay Devgn’s entrance in the movie and audio is already topping the charts.

Shahrukh Khan, who is always open to the new experiments and tentative projects more than any other Bollywood actor is now is in discussions with Bollywood’s hunk John Abraham for a project that would be produced and directed by John Abraham himself.

However, Shahrukh Khan is not willing to reveal anything as of now, “Me and John discussed about this for the first time in the sets of ‘Kaal’ and then John took it seriously and came up with an idea which we have discussed vaguely and I think it’s too early to talk about it in detail” said Shahrukh during a press conference.

On the other hand, John Abraham has already turned producer and tasted success with the movie “Vicky Donor” is all excited after Shahrukh liked his idea and wanted him to develop the script.

Shahrukh Khan has been struggling to deliver a true blockbuster after ‘Om Shanti Om’ even though all his movies after it crossed the 100 crore mark. Considering Shahrukh having handful of huge projects coming down in the next two years he is willing to go ahead with this experimental venture with John.

Hope something significant will come out of this super star combination.
