Raj Kumar Yadav was rejected for his role in Kai Po Che!

Actor Raj Kumar Yadav, who plays the lead role of Govind in the film Kai Po Che!, says that he was initially rejected for the role.

He mentions that he was selected only after casting director Mukesh Chhabra came into the picture.

“Many people wouldn’t know that earlier when it (the film) was with Excel Entertainment, there was another casting director and I had auditioned for the role of Govind and I was rejected,” says the actor.

“After that when Mukesh bhai came on board, a list was given to him that these people have auditioned and they are not to be called, my name was also there in it,” added the actor who debuted with the film Love, Sex aur Dhoka.

“But hats off to him, he believed that I could play Govind and he called me and told me, ‘You are my Govind, you will play it.’ That really helped me, that boosted my confidence,” he also said.

Actor Amit Sadh, who portrays an important role in the film, was also all praise for the process of casting.

“The best thing about films today, other than the fact that we are giving great cinema, is that a (proper) process of casting has started. For outsiders who come from different cities, it is tough as they don’t know where to go, whom to meet. So I think these are great times,” said Amit Sadh.

Kai Po Che! which released last month has received positive reviews from all sides. The movie which had a humble opening started attracting more and more crowds as the word on the film got out.

Rishi Kapoor who is sporting a hippie look in David Dhawan’s Chashme Baddoor remake will be performing a tap dance with Ali afar in the film. The veteran actor was last seen performing the dance style 36 years ago!

In the 1977 film, Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, Rishi  Kapoor had performed a tap dance for the song Mil Gaya Hum Ko Saathi Mil Gaya. The scene has been shot and he will groove to the tunes of the song Early Morning.

“Rishi Kapoor has done mind blowing steps in the song, which reminds you of his Mil gaya hum ko saathi mil gaya from Hum Kisise Kum Naheen days, where the young Rishi was seen in off white clothes and dancing his heart out,” says a source.

“In Chashme Baddoor too, he is dancing with full est. We are sure the audiences are going to have a treat as he is set to do tap dancing after 36 years,” the source added.

The 60 year old actor will be seen playing a hopeless romantic bachelor in the film. He will portray a retired sailor sporting tattoos and riding a Harley-Davidson bike. His look is said to be inspired by adult film actress Sunny Leone`s husband Daniel Weber, who dons a stubble and has tattoos inked all over.

Chashme Baddoor is the remake of a 1981 fim of the same name. The movie also stars actors Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and southern actress Taapsee Pannu.

The film is set to hit the theatres on April 5^th. Directed by Dhawan, the movie is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

Ajay Devgn to shake a leg with 5 item girls for Himmatwala!

After releasing the track Thank God It’s Friday, director Sajid Khan will soon be releasing another number from his film Himmatwala.

According to a birdie, the song features five item girls grooving to a song with Ajay Devgn! Interestingly, the girls belong to five different parts of the country.

The song which has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya is supposedly going to feature popular actresses from Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Punjabi and Gujrati cinema.

“The makers are set to release Dhoka this Friday. What is striking is that Sajid has gone ahead and roped in five superstars from five different film industries, who will be seen dancing with Ajay Devgn,” said a sorce whilst speaking to a tabloid.

Sayantani Ghosh from Kolkata, Rinku Ghosh from Bhojpuri films, Amruta Khanvilkar from Marathi cinema, Surveen Chawla from Punjabi films and Mona Thiba from Gujarati cinema are the five girls who will be seen shaking a leg with Devgn.

Recently, it had been reported that Ajay Devgn would be speaking in five different language(Bengali, Gujrati, Marathi, Punjabi and Tamil) in the movie. So what’s with the number five and Himmatwala we wonder? Well for that, we’ve got to wait and watch!

Himmatwala, which is all set to release on March 29^th, has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Vashu Bhagnani. The movie is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Pooja Entertainment and Films.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen dancing with diva Madhuri Dixit in his upcoming film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The actor himself is unsure if it’s going to happen. However, the heart-throb who is a self proclaimed fan of Madhuri is keeping his fingers crossed.

Ranbir has time and again proved his dancing prowess in songs like Bachna Ae Haseeno and Main Tera Dhadkan Teri. It would be a treat for his fans to see him yet again and that too with Madhuri.

“Yes, even I have heard about it but nothing is confirmed yet. But I am really looking forward if I can work with Madhuriji,” said Ranbir recently while launching Blackberry’s latest handset.

He added, “I have been a big fan of hers, big admirer. I remember when she got married, I also cried. So, it would be great fun working with her. But I don’t know whether they have confirmed it yet.”

Ranbir had a chance to groove with Madhuri whn he had gone to promote his film, Barfi! on the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa where Madhuri was a judge.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani which is to release on May 31^st, will see Ranbir Kapoor romancing his ex-flame Deepika Padukone.

He says Deepika’s success makes him feel proud.

“It’s always great to see someone whom you have been so close to reach where she has because of her hard work, resilience, vision and intelligence. I am very proud of everything she has achieved,” he said.

If you go to Bermuda you just might be able to take a walk where Beyonce strutted – all right on Beyonce Boulevard. There is a new walkway being built at the National Sports Centre and it was nicknamed “Beyonce Boulevard” because that is where Mrs. Carer entered from at the 2008 Music Festival.

A fake “Beyonce Boulevard” street sign was placed up by some of the workers under Facility Manager Trevor Madeiros’ watch. As quoted in NME, Trevor told the Royal Ga ette, “We had to tidy up the driveway for her to come through to perform — it was a construction site at the time,” he told Bermuda’s Royal Ga ette. “Somebody called it Beyoncé Boulevard and everybody started using it…So many people use the name when giving directions to visitors that it finally got its own sign.” He added: “It’s nothing really official. It’s an internal thing that we put up ourselves.”

That’s hilarious. When are we going to get the MuchMusic Highway underway? Anyone? Anyone?

So Adele is having quite the run, isn’t she? Following her work on 21 and her track for the James Bond theme song for Skyfall and a string of awards and accolades and such, it seems that Adele is untouchable. As we’re big fans of Adele here in the MUCH offices, it must be said that we’re incredibly excited to hear any new material. But we’re probably going to have to wait awhile. Adele was quoted as to saying, “Tell me about it, so am I,” to the British newspaper the Daily Mail when told that her fans wanted more. “They’ll come when they’re ready, and when I’ve got something to sing about,” Adele responded.
