k-os recorded his album at Darth Vader’s house

If you could, would you record an album at your friend’s house? In the case of k-os, he did and he recorded his latest album BLack on BLonde at his friend Darth Vader Hayden Christensen’s house. In an interview with The Toronto Sun, k-os reveals details surrounding his recording BLack on BLonde on the Death Star at Hayden’s house saying, “It’s like I just hit oil — as soon as I woke up in the morning there and smelled the air I spent every day in the studio from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. just writing.”

k-os even built a recording studio in Hayden’s living room and finished twenty tracks there! If I recorded my album at Hayden’s house, I would not be productive at all. I’d be rummaging through his junk drawers, trying to find a spare light saber. k-os also spoke about how the album is a departure from his more rebellious days. k-os explained, “I was like, I need to embrace this a little bit — I’m older, I’m more mature and it’s fun.”. k-os continued, “That’s the biggest change I would say from my earlier stuff in Yes! is that I’m not mad about being in the music industry any more.”

We find that especially ironic because wasn’t Luke Skywalker part of the Rebellion? … We are clearly geeks here at Much.com. Check out the video for Dog Is Mine by k-os below and if you listen closely… k-os reveals what street Hayden lives on. Go forth Star Wars stalkers! You’re welcome.
