Rihanna is set to debut her first ever fashion line with River Island on February 16 at London Fashion Week. The fashion-forward singer took cameras backstage at River Island, where Rihanna has been hands-on with the creation of her pieces.
Describing the collection as casual, chic and flirty, Rihanna says “I wanted it to be for all body types, I want all types of girls to really wear this and feel comfortable in it, but still feel edgy. I want character to come out in the clothes without trying too hard.” In the behind the scenes video, Rihanna also talks about using street style in London as her inspiration for the line and wanting to become a designer after exposure to high end fashion left her wishing she could alter pieces she bought in stores.
The line will be available for purchase in the UK starting March 5.
